The Texas Rangers are a professional baseball team that competes in Major League Baseball (MLB). The team was established in 1961 and is based in Arlington, Texas. They play their home games at Globe Life Field, which opened in 2020.
In the 2002 season, the Rangers finished with a record of 36-45 in the American League West division, but lost to the Anaheim Angels in the ALDS (American League Division Series). The team has had its share of successes and failures over the years, including winning the World Series in 2010 and finishing as runners-up in the ALCS (American League Championship Series) in 2016.
