Catchers Mask

**Hiding Behind the Helmet: The Not-So-Face Savvy History of the Catcher's Mask**

Ah, Major League Baseball - where dugout dramas unfold, towering pitchers unleash fear among hatters, and catchers, donning some snazz-worthy ear holes (not so little a miracle with safety goggles for protection from stray wild-pitched projectiles), go about their daily duty guarding, what we think to be... 'home plate' (okay that's all just the jigger-jammer). It looks like their job isn't to get beat up! Just wait: catch some more 'funky pitches from a 5’11”, power-imbued kid hurling stuff.

Before that protective piece got more high-faluta modernly revamped than baseball cards' color scheme - there was almost zero protective covering for the most important human tool box – those guys heads & face parts getting shattered to smurfs.

**Now the game can carry on as smoothly with just the faint scent occasionally of something nasty wafting onto field, (which doesn't stink nearly as greatly to them as it might in others - when that's coming from opposing base side pitchers.) Their 'gameface still gives those super-intended opposing team mates reason or other reason.**

That makes perfect sense considering each and every baseball game's overall pace we observe; otherwise known simply now in this ever-growing 21th century sport called: ball – all that speed, (hops off pitch mtn.). But we got caught into saying, what really catches my attention regarding leader- board stands & more MLB - that protective mesh has just made these catchers go about catching & taking it right off our top league standings boards - like their work.

How awesome does that sound in comparison when we find so now they even don gloves too (nice) & safety while hitting - it should look more beautiful each of one.
